Saproxylic network

The Wood decomposer database is developed and maintained by the Nordic saproxylic network. This network was established at Ekenäs, Sweden in February 2004 (see the Development history flip). The network is organised into the following database working groups:

• Ascomycetes
• Basidiomycetes
• Coleoptera
• Diptera
• Hymenoptera
• Additional insect groups
• Mites
• Insects in fungus fruit bodies
• Lichens and mosses
• Vertebrates

The main tasks of the database working groups are to enter data in the database and to enhance the quality of the data content. The working groups are open to anybody with expertise on the respective organism groups and who is willing to share his or her expertise and species information with the database. Experts outside the Nordic countries are welcome to join the database working groups. The working language is English both in meetings and in all written documents. The current participants in the working groups are Participant list. If you want to join a working group, you should contact Jogeir Stokland (j.n.stokland@nhm.uio.no).
